That time may be here if you have been waiting for the ideal time to purchase your next Honda crossover in the Richardson area. In 2023, Honda will introduce the second generation of its popular HR-V. While this is the smallest crossover offered in the current Honda lineup, its larger dimensions create more cargo and passenger seating space this year. In addition to this important change, the HR-V is restyled from end to end and has enhanced features and performance capabilities.
The new look is confident and modern, with chiseled angles running through the side doors and a smooth hood that bends dramatically into the grille. The reshaped grille is smaller and sits above a sporty fascia that features set-back air vents. The redesigned headlights point inward toward the grille and are underscored by LED lighting.
The 2023 Honda HR-V has the same spunky capabilities on the road as its predecessor but delivers more horsepower. The 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine produced 141 horsepower in 2022, which increased to 158 horsepower in 2023. The powertrain continues to come with a continuously variable transmission and front-wheel drive, and all-wheel drive is offered for all trims.
Across its three trims, the 2023 HR-V is smartly appointed. The base LX offers an automatic climate control system, a 7-inch infotainment system screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, three USB ports, a four-speaker sound system, forward collision mitigation, adaptive cruise control, and a lane departure warning. Stepping to one of the higher trims could give you access to a blind-spot monitor, remote engine start, keyless entry, heated front seats, a superior sound system, rear cross-traffic sensors, tinted rear windows, ambient lighting, a two-zone climate control system, parking sensors, leather upholstery, a wireless charging pad and more.
