Age and Mileage

Only select vehicles qualify for HondaTrue Certified status. Each one must be no older than 5 years and have fewer than 80,000 miles on the odometer to be eligible.

Inspection

Before any vehicle earns the HondaTrue Certified badge, it undergoes a comprehensive 182-point inspection by our expert technicians.

This inspection checks both mechanical and cosmetic components, including the drivetrain, suspension, steering, brakes, wheels, tires, exhaust, interior, and exterior.

Reconditioning and Maintenance

If any parts require replacement or repairs to meet our high standards, we use only genuine Honda parts.

We also make sure that every certified vehicle is fully up-to-date on all necessary maintenance before it reaches our lot.

What's the Difference Between a HondaTrue Certified Vehicle and a HondaTrue Used Vehicle?

As you browse pre-owned inventory, you may come across both HondaTrue Certified and HondaTrue Used options. Both categories offer dependable, high-quality vehicles engineered by Honda.

The main difference is in age, mileage, and warranty coverage. HondaTrue Certified models have fewer than 80,000 miles and are no more than 5 years old. They also include a 7-year/100,000-mile limited powertrain warranty.

HondaTrue Used models can be up to 10 years old with no mileage cap. These vehicles come with a limited warranty lasting 100 days or 5,000 miles — whichever comes first. Coverage begins after the original New Vehicle Limited Warranty ends or from your purchase date if it has already expired.

Both types of HondaTrue vehicles come with roadside assistance and trip interruption protection. Additional perks include two free oil changes in your first year or 12,000 miles for HondaTrue Certified vehicles and one free oil change during the first year for HondaTrue Used vehicles.

What is Covered?

With both HondaTrue Certified and HondaTrue Used models, you get warranty coverage on a wide range of systems. Any covered issue that arises due to defective materials or poor workmanship is fixed with no deductible required.

Powertrain Coverage

Powertrain coverage for HondaTrue Certified vehicles lasts for 7 years or 100,000 miles (whichever comes first) from the original in-service date for the vehicle.

Powertrain coverage for HondaTrue Used vehicles lasts for 100 days or 5,000 miles.

This coverage includes the:

Non-Powertrain Coverage

If you choose a HondaTrue Certified vehicle, it comes with up to 2 years of additional non-powertrain coverage from the time the original warranty ends or from the date of purchase if already expired. This additional coverage is valid until the vehicle reaches 100,000 miles.

HondaTrue Used vehicles get 100 days or 5,000 miles of non-powertrain coverage.
