What's New for the 2025 Honda Pilot?
Over the years, the Honda Pilot has consistently captivated drivers and passengers with its appealing design, features, and functionality. This fourth-generation, three-row midsize SUV, which debuted in 2023, maintains its bold, modern appearance and exciting features for the 2025 model year, with a few updates worth exploring.
The 2025 Honda Pilot bids farewell to its base LX trim level, making the Sport the new entry-level option. Previously, the top-level trim was the Elite, but for 2025, the Black Edition takes the spotlight as the most advanced trim level. The trim lineup includes the Sport, EX-L, Touring, TrailSport, Elite, and Black Edition. The Black Edition has perforated leather seats, red trim accents, and dark interior and exterior elements.
Under the hood, the 2025 Honda Pilot retains the same 3.5-liter V6 engine as its predecessor, delivering 285 horsepower paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission across all trims. Maneuverability remains a strong suit with its tight turning circle. At the same time, the TrailSport trim offers off-road capabilities, an advanced suspension system, and enhanced axle articulation with a suspension lifted one inch taller than other trims. The 2025 Pilot maintains its towing capacity of up to 5,000 pounds.
Externally, the 2025 Honda Pilot shares the design cues of its predecessor, featuring a tall roofline and raked side windows introduced in the 2023 model year. The grille adopts a subtly hexagonal shape with a wide, staggered mesh pattern, while the slender headlights extend almost horizontally from the grille, boasting a lower LED ribbon.
Inside, the Honda Pilot accommodates seven to eight passengers depending on configuration, with 14 cup holders spread across the three rows. The Sport trim level boasts 7-inch display screens in the center stack, while other trims feature larger 9-inch screens. The Pilot offers a plethora of features, including traffic jam assist, wireless smartphone app connections, heated seats, push-button ignition, multi-zone auto climate control, moonroof, wireless phone charging, removable captain's chairs, removable storage, auto locking, and more.
