What's New for the 2026 Honda CR-V Sport-L Hybrid?
For drivers who expect excellent fuel economy from a sporty, well-appointed crossover, the 2026 Honda CR-V Sport-L Hybrid is the perfect model. This two-row, compact crossover SUV is a mid-generation model and introduces several improvements to its style and features.
The CR-V Sport-L Hybrid is the third of four hybrid trim levels available in 2026. It has the same hybrid engine as the other trim levels: a 204-horsepower, 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. The engine mates with a continuously variable automatic transmission. The standard drivetrain moves the front wheels, and all-wheel drive is offered as an upgrade. If you choose all-wheel drive, your CR-V will now come with enhanced traction management for the first time.
The 2026 CR-V Sport-L Hybrid shows off enviable style from front to rear. The look includes a tall, slightly arched roof with a steeply tapered rear and hood. The nose is rounded, and a large grille mostly covers the surface. The grille has a loose-woven honeycomb mesh pattern. The grille is perfectly integrated at the upper corners with slender, angled LED headlights. The sides of the CR-V have ledge-style molding along the lower door panels, a crisp upper pinstripe accent, and flatly defined fenders. The Sport-L Hybrid trim level’s exterior features are roof rails, a power liftgate, heated side mirrors, and 18-inch wheels.
Several updates have been made to the interior of the 2026 CR-V Sport-L Hybrid. These include the addition of a wireless phone charger, wireless connections for smartphone integration, and a 9-inch touch display screen. Other features that continue to be offered in this trim level are a leather-wrapped and heated steering wheel, driver’s memory settings, leather upholstery, an eight-speaker sound system, parking sensors for the front and rear, a digital instrument display screen, dual rear USB ports, a blind-spot warning system, a dual-zone climate control system, lane keeping, a forward collision avoidance system and a few additional features.
