2020 Honda Civic vs 2020 Honda Accord
Serving Richardson, TX
At Lute Riley Honda, we always have a fantastic variety of models for our customers. The Civic and the Accord have both been included in the Honda lineup for more than 45 years. The Civic is placed below the Accord in the lineup, and it is slightly smaller and more affordable when you examine comparable trims. Our sales reps are ready to learn about the many other differences between the Civic and the Accord that could drive your vehicle selection.
Performance
The 2020 Civic Sedan is available with two engine possibilities across its five trim levels. The base engine that is found in the first two trim levels is an I-4 with 158 horsepower. The higher trim levels add a turbocharged element to the I-4 engine to produce 174 horsepower. In comparison, the 2020 Honda Accord is available with a 1.5-liter turbo, a 2.0-liter turbo, and a hybrid option. The 1.5-liter turbo engine generates 192 horsepower, and the 2.0-liter turbo engine produces 252 horsepower. If you prefer the hybrid powertrain, your Accord will give you 212 net horsepower.
Appearance
When you compare the Civic and the Accord side by side, you will immediately notice that the Civic has a sportier edge, and the Accord has a sophisticated façade. Specifically, the 2020 Civic has an aggressive front end with pointed headlights and a hint of a curve through the hood. The roof tapers dramatically back toward the trunk lid. The sides have a subtle angle as well, and this hints at the Civic’s exciting capabilities. In comparison, the 2020 Honda Accord has a longer hood with a reasonably level surface until it meets the nose. The Accord’s roof rolls downward at a sharper angle, and the result is a defined surface on the trunk lid. Also, the Accord’s sides have a horizontal definition.
Features
Across both models, you can appreciate a great mix of standard features. For example, the Honda Sensing® safety technologies are conventional in both models, and this suite includes high beam assist, blind-spot monitoring, and other protective features. Some of the trims in both models have leather material, a sunroof, Apple CarPlay, and other gear.
