2026 Honda CR-V vs 2025 Honda CR-V

Serving Richardson, TX

The compact Honda CR-V crossover broke out its sixth generation in 2023. Several updates have been made to the model in recent years, including tech, style, and performance updates for the 2026 model year. As you debate between driving home in the 2025 CR-V or the 2026 version, here's what you should know.

Performance

In 2026, the Honda CR-V introduces enhanced traction management programming to its trims with all-wheel drive. This update elevates low-speed off-road performance. The lower trim levels for 2025 and 2026 draw 190 horsepower from a turbo 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine. This unit comes with a continuously variable automatic transmission. The hybrid trim levels have a 204-horsepower, hybrid four-cylinder engine.

Appearance

While most aspects of the Honda CR-V's design are unchanged between the 2025 and 2026 versions, there are new wheel designs in 2026 for the 18-inch wheels. Overall, the CR-V's current design is easy on the eyes with graceful slopes through the profile and lightly angled, smooth contouring on the sides. A thick band of dark molding runs below the belt line on the door panels. The slender headlights spin off the top of the grille and are accented by upper LED bars. The grille has a unique, honeycomb-style mesh pattern and is topped by a chrome accent line. The bumper is slender and fades into sleek air inlets. Exterior features offered with the CR-V for both model years are a hands-free liftgate, up to 19-inch wheels, all-terrain tires, roof rails, and more.

Features

The 2026 Honda CR-V increases the size of the central display screen for the infotainment system to nine inches. In addition, all trim levels now have a 10.2-inch digital driver's instrument panel, a wireless charging pad, and wireless smartphone app integration. Some of the many features available in both 2025 and 2026 versions are a premium Bose audio system with 12 speakers, Google Built-In, a heated steering wheel with leather wrapping, driver's memory controls, front and rear parking sensors, two rear USB ports, a power moonroof, a blind-spot warning system, a rear cross-traffic alert, lane keeping, a push-button engine starter, adaptive cruise control and several other features.
