The Differences Between HondaTrue Certified and HondaTrue Certified+ Vehicles
All HondaTrue Certified vehicles have passed our in-house, 182-point inspection. They also come with CPO warranty protection, a CARFAX or Autocheck vehicle history report, and up to two complimentary oil changes in the first year of ownership. However, HondaTrue Certified+ vehicles are often newer and may have different warranty protections.
HondaTrue Certified Vehicles
Specifically, HondaTrue Certified vehicles are no more than 5 years old and have fewer than 80,000 miles, but they are more than 12 months old and have more than 12,000 miles since their original in-service date. They have a 7-year/100,000-mile limited powertrain warranty1. They also include non-powertrain coverage. If a HondaTrue Certified vehicle is purchased within the New Vehicle Limited Warranty, the warranty is extended to 4 years/48,000 miles1. If it's purchased after the New Vehicle Limited Warranty has expired, coverage is for 1 year/12,000 miles from the delivery date.
In addition, roadside assistance2, two free oil changes3, a 3-day exchange policy4, trip interruption coverage2, the availability of HondaCare, and a 90-day SiriusXM trial are offered.
HondaTrue Certified+ Vehicles
Meanwhile, HondaTrue Certified+ vehicles are less than one year old and have fewer than 12,000 miles since their original in-service date. They have all of the same benefits as HondaTrue Certified vehicles. However, they extend the New Vehicle Limited Warranty to five years or 86,000 miles.
