Serving Richardson, TX

When drivers visit Lute Riley Honda in search of a smaller crossover, they often inquire about differences between the HR-V and the CR-V. These exciting options have been available for years and have a long-standing history of meeting high expectations. Both of these crossovers are offered with four trim levels, and they are placed next to each other in the Honda line. However, their extensive differences are immediately noticeable and will guide your crossover selection.

Performance

Throughout its trims, the 2021 Honda HR-V is available only with a 141-horsepower, I-4 gas engine. Its continuously variable transmission comes with paddle shifters in the higher trim levels. The CR-V, on the other hand, is loaded with a 190-horsepower, turbo I-4 engine throughout all trim levels. A hybrid variant is also available for the top three trim levels. The CR-V’s gas engine is paired with a continuously variable transmission with sport mode, and the hybrid powertrain is connected to an e-CVT with sport mode and deceleration selectors.

Appearance

With its round nose as well as its angle down the roof and the twisting definition on the side panels, the 2021 Honda HR-V is undeniably sporty. The larger CR-V has a more defined front end, a flatter roof, and smoother sides with definition over the wheel wells. Both of these vehicles are offered with heated side mirrors, LED lighting with auto headlamps, a power sunroof, and other preferred equipment.

Features

The price differential between the HR-V’s base price and the CR-V’s base price is several thousand dollars, so you can reasonably expect the CR-V to have a few extra standard features across all of its trim levels. However, both crossovers have smart entry, Honda Sensing® assistive features, smart device integration, leather seats, a 2nd-Row Magic Seat®, automatic climate control, a navigation system, an LCD display screen, and other items.

Our Lute Riley Honda associates will happily support you as you get more familiar with the CR-V and the HR-V. Plan your next visit to the dealership today to compare these models in person.
