How Does Honda Invest in America?

Honda began investing in the United States in 1959 when it opened a modest storefront in Southern California.

Fast forward to today, and Honda employs a dedicated workforce of 30,000 associates across the U.S. These professionals contribute to the research, design, development, production, and sale of Honda products to American drivers.

Honda has recently achieved several major milestones with 50 years of U.S.-based research and development, over 40 years of building vehicles in America, and more than 65 years of U.S. investment. Altogether, Honda has invested $24.7 billion into its American operations.

Honda's American-built vehicles are crafted using high-quality domestic and globally sourced components. The company works closely with a robust supply chain of 665 American OEM suppliers across 36 states. These businesses play a vital role in supporting Honda's manufacturing efforts and upholding the brand's reputation for quality and reliability.

The majority of Honda vehicles sold in the U.S. are built in America, showcasing the company's ongoing commitment to investing locally.
