Serving Richardson, TX

As you learn more about Honda’s impressive line of crossover SUVs, your attention may be initially drawn to the HR-V. This is a compact crossover that kicks the line off with a bang. For 2023, the HR-V has been completely refreshed with a next-generation update. Our Lute Riley Honda sales associates look forward to helping you compare the 2022 and 2023 HR-V crossovers before you finalize your next auto purchase plans.

Performance

The 2023 HR-V’s powertrain has been enhanced from the previous model year. Throughout all trims for 2023, this small crossover SUV has a standard 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine that delivers 158 horsepower. Because the new HR-V has a slightly longer wheelbase, you may notice a subtle difference in capabilities when you take these options out on local roads for a test drive comparison. For 2022, a 1.8-liter, four-cylinder engine delivers 141 horsepower.

Appearance

There are clear design differences between the 2022 and 2023 Honda HR-V. For 2022, the HR-V has a tapered arch through the roofline and down the hood. The grille is expansive, and it reaches out to connect to pointed LED headlights. A thick, metallic design element runs across the top of the grille. A linear pinstripe crosses the lower portion of the door panels on the sides. The top of the side panels displays a prominent, curved accent line. For 2023, however, the profile is slightly flatter with long angles. The grille is smaller and detached from the reshaped LED headlights. The sides have deep contouring with crisp, angled accent lines.

Features

The interior design of the 2023 Honda HR-V has also been revamped, but you will find that many of the same features are available in both versions. Select trims for these crossovers come with leather material, Honda Sensing® safety equipment, an upgraded audio system with satellite radio, an auto-dimming rear mirror, smart device integration, a sunroof, a keyless ignition, heated front seats, and other desired equipment.

With many differences in styles and capabilities between the 2022 and 2023 model years, a closer look at the HR-V is in order. Contact our Lute Riley Honda team today to make plans for a test drive and an in-person trim comparison.
